Tonight was our first time to try Blue Ember Steakhouse and all three of us agree it deserves 5 stars... actually would be more stars if we could! Every person who worked there was pleasant and polite. The building was very clean. The food was delicious. Especially love that you can have a sampler of many kinds of meats on one meal. Highly recommend.

We have eaten here many times. The options are many so I typically go with the Special Ops platter to get the variety. The meats have a great smokey flavor and tenderness that you want in BBQ. A variety of great flavors and heat with their sauces. The issue for me is so many great sides to choose from, but you can’t go wrong with the Baked Beans or Mac-n-Cheese.

Cool atmosphere. Customer service was excellent. BBQ was spot on. You buy your meats by the 1/3 lb, so it can get pricey quick. Meat sweats did commence shortly after!

We ate dinner here last night. We have been to some great bbq restaurants over the years but this place took 1st place. We had the pork dinner and it was Great. Lots of lean pork with a great bun. The bbq sauce was also great. Not too hot and not too vinegary. Even though we ordered a to go meal from the wrong area all the employees were very accomodating. The fries were great and coleslaw perfect and the okra was also wonderful. The prices were the best we have seen in some time. Do yourself a favor and give them a chance. You will be just as happy with your meal as we were. Thank you, Blue Ember Smokehouse.

Texas style smokehouse, but the bbq pork is definitely southern style. Cant speak for the brisket as I didn’t get that on this trip. Three different sauces for your sandwich on a load it yourself platter. I enjoyed all three. In true southern style enough meat fell off the sandwich to scoop up and dip to savor each sauce. Enjoy.

TL;DR: Grest BBQ in general. Treat yourself to a loaded baked potato . Got a bit of a split opinion here, my wife loves the chicken and I prefer the pulled pork. We both however love the apple BBQ sauce. We both however like them with the fully loaded baked potato which comes with what looks like half a cup of sour cream, some butter and. A generous dash of cheese. A small note on the unclear pricing of the potatoes: A loaded potato is priced the same as the meats above it if you get it with the meat. I haven't verified, but I believe the 4.99 price is for just the loaded potato. They also serve burnt ends which sounds delicious considering how amazing this place smells. Atmosphere is clean and slightly upscale for a BBQ joint. The only issue I have is that the lights near the booth seating is too low, if the tables are arranged right, anyone over 6' is likely to catch their heads on them. I'm looking forward to picking up a pound of meat to take home at some point. Even the Burnt ends at 26/pound isn't bad if you split it 4 ways and make some slaw.

We had a great experience here with the food, the service, and the atmosphere! We each got pulled chicken sandwiches (we're from the north, I'm sorry) and tried each of the three available BBQ sauces. Sweet and Spicy was our favorite. My wife got the green beans and I got the corn on the cob. The South does green beans different, so from our skewed point of view, they were just ok. The corn on the cob however, may have been made out of taffy. I never got to swallow any because it all stuck to my teeth. Minus the sides, the food was excellent and we will definitely go back and try more meats and obviously some different sides.
